Q. How do I find a textbook on reserve?

My instructor told me the textbook is on reserve at the library. What does that mean? How do I check it out?

Answer

We have most of the textbooks used by the instructors on campus.  In order to use the book, students must have their valid student identification card.  Come to the Librarians at the Help Desk and we can show you exactly how to find this number...it's a little tricky.

Or, come into the library, and go to one of the many standing computer terminals.  Select the Reserve Desk icon, and enter either your professors last name or the abbreviated course number.  The number will begin with an IR.

These books can only be checked out for 1-2 hours IN THE LIBRARY ONLY.  Contact the bookstore for rental or purchase information.
