What can I do at the Research Help Desk?

Answer

Get Help with Your Research

One of the roles of the faculty librarians is to support you through the research process. The library faculty staff the Research Help Desk in person at each campus during all of the library's open hours. From the desk, we also can work with you through text, email, phone, the library chat, and Zoom.

Whether in person or online, we can teach you how to:

  • brainstorm topics
  • develop research questions
  • use search techniques in the library's databases, library catalog, & the internet to find books, eBooks, articles, films, statistics, data, etc.
  • evaluate sources that are online or through the library
  • cite sources

We also can recommend specific resources, like databases, search engines, websites, etc.
